PARENT COMMITTEES
All Westside Waldorf School parents are automatically members of the Parent Community Council (PCC). The Parent Community Council's mission is to raise funds, sponsor activities,
provide a forum for parent concerns, and to support the aims of the School. Each class is represented at the meetings by designated Class Representatives, who volunteer
to attend all Parent Community Council meetings and to communicate its news and upcoming events back to the teachers and parents. As part of its educational mission, the
Parent Community Council sponsors The Waldorf Appreciation Program, a series of lectures by teachers or outside speakers to deepen our understanding of the Waldorf philosophy.
The Waldorf Appreciation Lecture Series has been for several years hosted impressive authors, teachers, and other national and international figures in Waldorf Education
and Anthroposophy, who have delivered in-depth presentations on various subjects of interest i.e "On Being Human," "Milk Teeth," "The Nine Year Change," and "Public
Education Reform." There are monthly Parent Community Council meetings.
